# Currencies

Pumpville uses two separate currencies:

**Coins (Free Play Currency)**

* Cannot be converted to $PUMPVILLE tokens
* Cannot be withdrawn or traded for real money
* Earned through all gameplay activities (fishing, quests, treasure hunting, etc.)
* Off-chain, instant transactions
* Used to buy: fishing equipment, basic avatars and pets, consumables
* Used for coin-wagered arena games
* Can be traded on the in-game marketplace

**$PUMPVILLE (Ecosystem Token)**

* Tradeable on DEX
* Earned through token-wagered games and rare golden chests (coming soon)
* Used to buy: premium avatars, pets, and accessories
* Will be integrated into marketplace after testing phase
* Deflationary tokenomics through burns
* All in game transactions with $PUMPVILLE go through a burn mechanism where 50% gets burned permanently and 50% goes to treasury (used for player rewards, marketing, and growth)

**Note:** Coins and $PUMPVILLE are completely separate. You cannot exchange coins for tokens.
